Review: Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000)

(60) Fans routinely hit Megaguirus with the line laid on Godzilla ’84. “Same old, same old,” they’ll say. This turn-of-the-twenty-first kaiju eiga offers little innovation and, in some areas, it’s downright regressive. Models need texturing, monster movements are stiff and lifeless, and the human characters aren’t even interesting by 70’s-slump franchise standards. Megaguirus is a rotten representation of the Millennium series.
